What you'll do
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Developer Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will build internal tooling and applications that support our global multi-cloud environment, with a strong focus on enhancing the overall developer experience. You will utilize a mix of frontend, backend, and cloud DevOps skills to create solutions that automate infrastructure processes and streamline workflows for our product teams. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to build full-stack applications while gaining deep exposure to cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and platform automation.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Developer Platform Engineering.
Responsibility
Develop, enhance, and maintain frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, and automation solutions that power internal developer platforms, self-service portals, and engineering productivity tools used across DTS engineering teams
Develop reusable libraries, frameworks, shared services, and software packages that accelerate application development, promote engineering standardization, and improve developer productivity across teams
Contribute to platform solutions and shared engineering services that support not only DTS engineering organizations, but also broader enterprise engineering initiatives within docusign where applicable
Collaborate with senior engineers and platform teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud engineering best practices across AWS and enterprise platform environments
Support troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of application, integration, and deployment issues across cloud and platform infrastructure environments
Create and maintain technical documentation, onboarding guides, and operational runbooks to support platform adoption, knowledge sharing, and long-term maintainability of engineering solutions
Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and cross-functional engineering collaboration to continuously improve software delivery practices, platform capabilities, and developer experience
Build and maintain automated test coverage, ensuring software quality, reliability, maintainability, and adherence to established engineering and security standards
Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native platform capabilities, supporting developer workflows, operational efficiency, and platform standardization initiatives

What you bring
Basic
A Computer Science degree or a related technical field
Software engineering experience (internships and academic projects apply)
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Node.js, or Java)
Understanding of REST APIs and foundational web development (frontend and backend)
Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic continuous integration concepts
Preferred
A strong interest in enhancing developer experience, Cloud DevOps, infrastructure automation, and platform engineering
Basic understanding of cloud providers (AWS or Azure)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and modern frontend frameworks.
