Adobe takes pride in crafting a work environment where innovation meets collaboration. As a Member of Technical Staff 2, you will work alongside a world-class team of engineers to develop solutions that have a global impact. You'll have the opportunity to sharpen your skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and help build products that millions of people use every day.
The Engineer will be part of the Commerce Experiences team, responsible for delivering commerce experiences across Adobe products. We run experiments and optimize user journeys to drive Acquisition and Retention workflows. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who writes clean, well-tested frontend code and thrives in a collaborative, feedback-rich environment.
What you'll do
Implement frontend components and features within established design and engineering parameters, contributing to user experience improvements across Adobe's commerce surfaces.
Work with senior engineers, architects, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into well-structured, testable UI code.
Contribute to UI rendering and experience delivery workflows, with growing ownership as you build familiarity with the codebase.
Write unit and component-level tests; participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality.
Debug and resolve issues within your own code and immediate component integrations.
Communicate progress clearly within your team, ask good questions, and demonstrate a bias toward continued learning.
What you'll need to succeed
2–4 years of experience building frontend web applications with responsive design and modular, maintainable code.
Proficiency in modern JavaScript and at least one major framework — React preferred; familiarity with TypeScript or ES6+ is a plus.
Working knowledge of web standards and browser fundamentals — DOM, CSS (including SCSS), and debugging in modern browsers.
Experience creating unit and component-focused tests; exposure to integration or E2E testing is a bonus.
Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD workflows.
Awareness of secure coding practices and frontend performance considerations.
Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to write, test, and iterate on code within established standards.
Strong problem-solving instincts and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
Exposure to state management patterns (Redux, MobX, or similar).
Basic familiarity with CDNs, Service Workers, or progressive rendering concepts.
