The Microsoft Fabric Core Platform team in IDC Bangalore is hiring a Software Engineer. Our team builds the foundational compute platform - the operating system layer - that powers all Microsoft Fabric workloads at massive scale, serving millions of enterprise customers. You will work on real distributed systems problems and grow your impact on the reliability and performance of the platform that every Fabric experience depends on.

Responsibilities

Build and operate backend platform services (Service Fabric, capacity management, routing) that power Microsoft Fabric. - Contribute to deployment reliability and operational excellence across global Azure regions.

Improve platform resilience through testing, telemetry, and incident response.

Collaborate with workload and partner teams to deliver scalable, secure platform capabilities.

Participate in on-call rotations and help continuously improve service health.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline, with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
