Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Engineers to join our Lifecycle Management (LCM) Team as part of a 24-month apprenticeship program.
This role is intended for recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Science or related disciplines who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in software development, medical device lifecycle management, device testing, and platform sustainment activities.
The apprentice will work closely with experienced engineers and gain exposure to the end-to-end lifecycle of regulated medical devices, including software maintenance, platform upgrades, operating system patching, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support software development, maintenance, and lifecycle management activities for medical device products.
Assist in implementing, validating, and verifying software changes and enhancements.
Participate in functional, integration testing of medical devices and associated software applications.
Support operating system upgrade and patch validation activities.
Assist in root cause investigation, defect analysis, and troubleshooting activities.
Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and engineering records.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to software quality, reliability, and maintainability.
Support automation and productivity improvement efforts where applicable.
Learning & Development
During the apprenticeship, the candidate will gain exposure to:
Medical device software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Lifecycle management and sustainment engineering activities
Operating system patch creation and validation processes
Defect management and issue-tracking processes
Emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence applications in engineering workflows
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech) in:
Computer Science
Information Science
Strong academic background
Basic understanding of software development fundamentals
Required Skills
Analytical thinking, attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
Basic programming knowledge (C/C++/Python/Java/C#) is a plus
Strong documentation and reporting skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Preferred Skills (Optional)
Exposure to operating systems such as Windows or Linux
Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Awareness of software development lifecycle processes
Prior academic or project experience in application development, testing, or automation
