Software Engineer (MERN Stack)

🎯 What Success Looks Like in This Role

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Node

Integration with database and third-party tools and services

Writing APIs to be consumed by frontend, apps, and third-parties

Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems

Help maintain code quality, organization and automation

Writing automated tests

What you should already know

Experience with Node, Express, along with strong frameworks like NestJS, KeystoneJS and/or AdonisJS

Good understanding of Ecmascript and it's nuances

Familiarity with Typescript

Uncanny ability to write declarative code and an inherent urge to convert imperative code into declarative one

Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as React

A knack for writing clean, readable JS code

Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system

Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

Ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes

Familiarity with git, working with git-flow is a bonus

Familiarity with deployment to AWS, familiarity with docker and kubernetes is a plus

1-2 years of experience
