Responsibilities

Job Title: Jr Associate

Location: Bangalore

Department: Leave Of Absence (HRSS)

Summary: The Leave of Absence Associate will serve as a key member of the Leave of Absence team, responsible for managing and administering employee leave requests in compliance with company policies and applicable laws. This role will provide support for the administration of injury files and documentation. Daily tasks are cantered around the organization of paper and digital documents required for processing injuries and workers’ compensation claims.

Key Responsibilities:

➢ Administer Leave Programs: Manage various leave programs including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), state-specific leave laws, short-term and long-term disability, and other company-sponsored leave programs.

➢ Consultation: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave of absence inquiries, guiding them through the process and answering questions about their rights and responsibilities.

➢ Documentation Management: Review and process leave requests and necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with legal guidelines and company policies. Maintain accurate and confidential records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Prepares documents for internal and external stakeholders, such as attorneys and regulatory bodies. Downloads electronic data received from various sources into department databases and reviews imported data to identify issues with respect to its validity, reliability and integrity and takes appropriate corrective action

➢ Collaboration: Work closely with HR business partners, managers, and the payroll department to ensure proper communication and seamless coordination regarding leave administration and return-to-work processes.

➢ Policy Compliance: Stay informed about federal, state, and local leave regulations to ensure that the company’s practices are compliant; recommend updates to policies as needed. Employee Support: Provide compassionate support to employees during their leave of absence, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their entitlements and obligations.

➢ Training and Development: Assist in the development and delivery of training materials for managers and employees regarding leave policies and procedures.

➢ Reporting and Analytics: Generate reports and analyse leave trends to support workforce planning and identify opportunities for improving leave management processes.

Qualifications

Education: Any bachelor’s degree Experience: 0 to1 year of experience as a FMLA case manager, Worker’s Compensation Coordinator or a similar role, specifically related to leave management or employee benefits administration.

Knowledge of Laws: Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, and other relevant leave regulations.
