We are seeking a talented individual to join our Technology team at Mercer. This role will be based in Gurugram. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Frontend Developer – Software Developer -II

We are looking for a qualified Front-end developer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for building the ‘client-side’ of our web applications. You should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

We will count on you to:

Write clean well thought out design and code with an emphasis on quality, simplicity, and maintainability

Communicate effectively and partner well with other disciplines of the project team to deliver high quality solutions from envisioning to deployment to live site availability

Drive through design reviews, code reviews, and test case reviews

Work with a team of smart front end and back-end developers to develop new functionality in the product

Analyzing a change request and coming up with possible ways of implementing the same on the product.

Estimating the development effort and doing all that it takes to take the change to production environment in the least possible manner.

Developing new responsive Web Pages using industry standard HTML and CSS frameworks.

Identifying and fixing UI flaws in existing web pages

Work with Product Team, QA Team & Development teams to understand the change request and suggest best possible ways to implement a feature in quickest possible way

What you need to have:

Strong understanding of Web Concepts and modern client-side web technologies- JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks like React / AngularJS, jQuery Library is a plus.

Fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

At least 3-years working experience with React Framework.

Strong working knowledge of JavaScript.

Knowledge of Typescript will be a huge advantage.

Knowledge of back end Java Web Frameworks will be a huge advantage.

Must be able to demonstrate your love for programming through code walk through for an existing project previously done.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

Must understand HTML, CSS styling & layout.

Must understand concepts of Responsive Design, Mobile First Development.

Ability to create web interfaces that work cross browser and device agnostic.

Understanding of CSS Frameworks, like Bootstrap is a plus.

Working as part of the core development team to ideate, develop and deploy new tools and components on the existing platform in an agile environment

Strong Analytical ability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
