Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Developer to join our Global IT Development Team at Ceres’ Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bangalore.

This is a full-time, onsite role reporting to the CIO. The role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career developers with 0-3 year of experience who have a basic understanding of software development and are eager to learn in a professional work environment.

The Junior Developer will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications across various technologies and platforms. Success in this role will mean learning quickly, contributing to project-based development tasks, and supporting the delivery of reliable, user-friendly technology solutions for global operations.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Support

Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software, web, or application-based solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code under the guidance of senior team members.

Support backend, frontend, database, API, and integration-related development tasks as required.

Testing, Debugging & Quality

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve basic application issues.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Follow coding standards, security practices, and software development best practices.

Collaboration & Delivery

Collaborate with developers, QA, designers, and project teams to complete assigned tasks.

Learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, tools, and technologies as required.

Contribute to project-based development tasks during onboarding and training.

Required Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

0–3 year of experience in software development, internship experience would be preferred.

Candidates should be willing to work from office in an onsite role.

Technical Skills

Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, PHP, or similar.

Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

Basic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar.

Familiarity with databases and basic SQL queries.

Basic understanding of APIs and software development concepts.

Familiarity with Git or any version control system is preferred.
