About Potpie

Potpie is building the foundation layer for spec-driven development in large, complex codebases. We focus on making software systems understandable, debuggable, and operable through structured context and AI agents. This is not about incremental tooling. This is about rethinking how software systems are built, evolved, and scaled.

Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer who can think in systems and build end-to-end products with clarity and ownership. This is not a task-driven role. You will be expected to take ideas, shape them into products, and iterate quickly based on real usage.

🎯 What Success Looks Like in This Role

Build and ship end-to-end features across frontend and backend

Design scalable APIs and services that power AI-driven workflows

Work closely with research and product teams to translate ideas into usable systems

Own performance, reliability, and developer experience of the product

Experiment rapidly and iterate based on feedback

Contribute to architectural decisions as the system evolves

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

📋 Requirements & Qualifications

Strong fundamentals in computer science and system design

Experience building full stack applications (frontend + backend)

Ability to move fast from idea to production

Comfort working in ambiguity and taking ownership

Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Tech stack (indicative, not restrictive)

Frontend: React / Next.js

Backend: Node.js / Python / Java / C / C++

Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis

Infrastructure: AWS / GCP

Experience with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems

Bonus

Experience building developer tools or platforms

Familiarity with AI/ML systems or LLM integrations

Understanding of codebases at scale (monorepos, large systems)

Contributions to open source projects
