Job Title: Backend Developer

The Backend Developer designs and builds robust backend applications and services, focusing on RESTful APIs, cloud-based solutions, and data processing for analytics and model-driven applications. This role contributes to scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems that power modern digital products.

🎯 What Success Looks Like in This Role

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications that support core business functionality.

Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented RESTful APIs for internal and external services.

Build and integrate backend services, orchestration logic, and data-processing components to support analytics and model-driven applications.

Implement and optimize data-processing workflows to ensure reliable and performant handling of large data sets.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with front-end applications and other systems.

Use cloud technologies, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to deploy, scale, and manage backend services.

Apply version control best practices using Git for branching, merging, and maintaining code quality.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues to ensure high availability and performance.

Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and reliability.

Continuously improve backend architecture and processes by adopting best practices and modern technologies.

Essential Skills

Proven experience in backend application development.

Strong proficiency in developing RESTful APIs.

Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Solid understanding and practical use of Git for version control.

Experience with backend frameworks and technologies such as Node.js and Django.

Ability to design and implement services, orchestration logic, and data-processing pipelines.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex backend issues.

Capability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working on analytics and model-driven applications.

Familiarity with additional backend frameworks or ORM tools such as Hibernate or similar technologies.

Understanding of scalable and secure backend architecture design.

Exposure to microservices or service-oriented architectures.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and data specialists.
