1. Content Types We Publish
CampusToCareer publishes several types of career content, all focused on helping Indian freshers navigate the job market with clarity and confidence. We prioritize depth and actionability over volume.
- Career preparation guides: Step-by-step preparation roadmaps for specific roles (e.g., frontend developer, QA engineer, data analyst) with week-by-week timelines, tool recommendations, and practice milestones.
- Interview experience reports: Detailed walkthroughs of real interview processes at Indian and global companies, including round structure, question types, and candidate strategies that worked.
- Resume and portfolio strategies: Practical frameworks for building ATS-friendly resumes, structuring project descriptions, and presenting portfolios that align with recruiter expectations in the Indian market.
- Domain roadmaps: Comprehensive career path guides covering skill progression, certification value, and industry-specific hiring patterns for engineering, analytics, product, design, and DevOps roles.
- Hiring trend analysis: Data-backed analysis of Indian fresher hiring patterns, salary benchmarks, batch eligibility trends, and company-specific recruitment cycle insights.
2. What Makes a Strong Submission
We receive many pitches, and the ones that succeed share common traits. Strong submissions are specific, actionable, and grounded in real experience rather than generic career platitudes.
- First-person authority: Write from your direct experience. If you have interviewed candidates, explain what you looked for. If you cleared a specific company's process, describe the actual rounds and preparation that worked.
- India-specific context: Generic global career advice is widely available. We publish content that addresses the unique realities of Indian hiring — placement drives, service vs. product company differences, batch eligibility, CGPA filters, and off-campus application workflows.
- Structured format: All published guides use clear headings, numbered steps, checklists, and FAQ sections. Submissions should follow this structure to ensure readability and scanability for students under time pressure.
- No promotional content: We do not accept submissions that promote specific courses, coaching programs, paid tools, or placement services. All advice must be freely actionable without requiring the reader to purchase anything.
3. Submission Standards and Requirements
- Minimum word count: 1,500 words with clear headings, checklists, and FAQs where relevant. Shorter pieces may be accepted for interview experience reports if the detail level is sufficient.
- Originality: All submissions must be 100% original. We run plagiarism checks on every piece before publication. Content previously published on other platforms, including personal blogs and LinkedIn articles, will not be accepted.
- Conflict of interest disclosure: If you work for a company mentioned in your guide, or if you have any financial relationship with products or services you recommend, disclose it upfront. Undisclosed conflicts result in immediate rejection.
- No placement guarantees: Do not make claims about guaranteed jobs, interview calls, or placement rates. Honest, realistic guidance builds trust with our readers.
- Factual accuracy: Salary figures, company details, and technical information must be verifiable. Cite your sources when referencing statistics or industry data.
4. Our Editorial Review Process
Every submission goes through a structured editorial review before publication. This process typically takes 5 to 10 business days from initial submission to final decision.
- Step 1 — Pitch review: Our editorial team reviews your outline and author credentials within 48 hours. We will confirm whether the topic fits our current content calendar and audience needs.
- Step 2 — Draft review: Once a pitch is accepted, submit the full draft. Our editors review for accuracy, originality, tone, structure, and actionability. We may request revisions or additional sections.
- Step 3 — Fact-checking: Salary data, company details, and technical claims are cross-referenced against official sources. This step may involve follow-up questions with the author.
- Step 4 — Publication: Approved guides are published with full author attribution.
