Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for the configuration and delivery of client-facing applications. The role also includes supporting process enhancements under the guidance of the Senior Software Engineer and Manager of Technical Operations. Responsibilities involve day-to-day maintenance of healthcare application systems, troubleshooting application issues, root cause analysis, issue resolution or escalation, communication management, and client relationship management in collaboration with Infrastructure Service Support teams.
Essential Functions:
Configure and update client-facing applications according to requirements gathered by engagement teams while following Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) guidelines. Represent the Application Operations and Development team in active projects and participate in daily stand-up meetings. Follow established change management procedures across applications. Document and maintain standard operating procedures related to application operations and development. Create WIKI articles for repeatable processes and shared knowledge.
Coordinate with the Application Development Team to deploy software releases in User Acceptance Testing and Production environments. Set up environments for new implementations and configure Single Sign-On integrations for client builds. Support the development of unit tests for future regression testing. Measure key performance indicators such as bug density, sprint analysis, and test coverage.
Future Responsibilities:
Work with the Product Team to implement new application features and enhancements. Ensure all application changes follow lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Interact with end users, internal users, vendors, analysts, and engagement team members.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. 1–3 years of experience as an application engineer, developer, or support engineer (Level 1/2). Strong understanding of GIT fundamentals and daily usage. Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Windows, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Experience with Agile Development Lifecycle and web application configuration and templating.
Operational knowledge of Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps, and Octopus. Understanding of continuous integration and deployment methodologies. Experience with Veeva or Salesforce is an added advantage.
Other Requirements:
Working knowledge of US Healthcare or Market Access is preferred. Knowledge of Azure hosting components. Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 5%.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools. Knowledge of React, Angular, and .NET Core. Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner. Understanding of healthcare standards like HL7 and SMART on FHIR. Knowledge of scalable enterprise application design, workflow engines, message queue platforms, and web application development.
